RBL conducted Vulnerable Consumer Training for the Royal National Institute of Blind People in October 2018. RBL created and delivered a bespoke training session for the telephone fundraisers at RNIB on how to recognise a supporter in a vulnerable circumstance and identify which reasonable adjustments can be offered and carried out to ensure that the supporter is treated fairly.
"We asked RBL to lead on a 'Handling Vulnerable Supporters' Training session for our team of Area Managers in our Telemarketing Team, as we'd already had first-hand experience of the course, and thought it'd be a fantastic tool that all team members should be able to access. The session didn't disappoint! The Area Managers thoroughly enjoyed the day and talked about how it made them rethink the whole concept of 'vulnerable supporters' and how they should be treated. Through the various interactive sessions and presentations, the team were able to develop their own tailored sessions to roll out to the Telephone Fundraisers. This course will be the foundation for all training around the subject of vulnerable supporters, so has been a really productive exercise."
